So Last Night, my partner and I decided to go on a date night (we're both busy business owners, so making time is essential for the both of us) and we randomly ended up in Kings Cross, London and decided to go into the Plum and Spilt Milk Restaurant, just near the station. We had an aamzing time there and didn't quite expect the restaurant to be so classy and up-market as it was a last minute decision. When we walked in, the ambience, the energy and the whole atmosphere was such a calming yet luxury atmosphere, it honestly was the pinnacle of our evening together.
We arrived at the Restaurant at about 8pm, there were quite a few people, but the restaurant wasn't jam packed and bustling with city dwellers, making the experience a much more relaxing and memorable one. The lobby to the hotel was stunning and simple with Jazz music playing in the background, and all the way up the stairs towards to restaurant. It had a very mature vibe and the decor was classic yet modern and comfortable with a New York feel to it.
Being the 'Big Kids' that we are, we decided not to have a full main course meal and skip straight to desert. That and the fact that we wanted to rush home after for meetings the next morning. However, as we read through the menu we were so tempted to order! The sound of Steak sounded like such a treat! Especially being in winter! The Wine menu was so stunning and had a fabulous collection, again, with it being a Monday morning tomorrow, we both decided not to drink tonight, that and the fact that we're both not big drinkers!
Both of our deserts were stunning! In appearance and in taste! I had the Chocolate Fondant (One of my classic favourites). The gooey centre was scrumptious, and the fondant had a biscuit base, which for me was so heavenly! My partner had the Baked Alaska, which the restaurant staff kindly flambued for him! As you can see in the pictures, it looks amazing! It honestly was an amazing gourmet experience for the both of us. Especially for my partner who has never experienced fine dining before. We both agreed that we would definately be coming back, and that the Plum and Spilt Milk Restaurant has earnt its way in our top 10 restaurants! I would definately recommend this restaurant for any couple or even families. It's amazing for birthdays, valentines, special occasions or even every now and then for date night with your other half. The staff were so amazing, and helpful and really welcoming and heart warming! Afterwards, we took a stroll through London, and went home. Very Happy couple indeed!
It was amazing spending time with my boyfriend, as we have super busy schedules. And its always really important to make time for yourselves as a couple!! Oh and last pointer, If you're planning on going to this restaurant on Valentines, I would definately book ahead! As it can get really busy the day before and the weekend after! Hope you've enjoyed this post x
